			In August of 2004, The NTRCFL was accredited by ASCLD/LAB in the digital evidence discipline. The NTRCFL became accredited laboratory number 298. Becoming only the second accredited digital evidence laboratory in the United States and the first federal accredited digital evidence laboratory in the United States. We will continue to pursue other accreditation opportunities in the months ahead.

	In October 2003, the National Program Office for RCFLs hosted its annual meeting of the National Steering Committee at the NTRCFL.NPO-RCFL Director Schmidtknecht donated USB devices to RCFLs for distribution to local agencies for use with ImageScan. Today, UC Gerry Cocuzzo continues this tradition.
